First pot decides colours

Drag around the white ball to rotate the cue. Picking it up does not change your aim. Use − and + for tiny adjustments. Pull down the separate power bar, then release to shoot. Slide it back to the top to cancel. Prefer a cue action? Enable Cue pull-back above, then drag the wooden cue straight backwards and release. Drag the cloth to aim. Returning the cue to its starting point cancels the shot. The power bar remains available.

Training shows the first object ball’s direction. As you choose power, the line updates to show how far the shot will travel. A green dot means the predicted shot reaches the pocket; an open circle marks a stop or collision. The preview ends at the first cushion, ball or pocket and does not show later rebounds.

Drag the dot on the cue-ball control beside Training to choose where the cue tip strikes the white ball. Tap Centre to reset it. The control stays on the main screen. Topspin follows forward after contact; backspin draws back when enough spin remains. Left and right spin change the rebound off a cushion. Spin returns to centre after each shot.

The upper part of the power range is for the break and big shots. Use a shorter pull for controlled positional play. On desktop, arrow keys aim and adjust power, Shift gives finer aim, and Space shoots. Escape cancels.

You play against the computer. Call the Cacahead coin to decide who breaks. A legal break that pots a coloured ball keeps your turn. Choose pink or blue before your next shot, even if both colours went in. A dry break passes play with the table still open. After a dry break, the first legal pot assigns colours. Both colours may fall before colours are assigned.

Hit your own colour first. After contact, pot a legal ball or send a ball to a cushion. Potting your colour keeps the current visit. A legal miss ends it.

Fouls give the opponent two visits and ball in hand: touching the wrong colour first, potting an opponent’s colour (even with your own), potting the white ball, hitting nothing, or failing to pot or reach a cushion after contact. Fouls do not stack. With two visits, a legal miss uses the first visit and you play again. Successful pots keep the visit you are on.

Ball in hand: use the Move Ball control beside the table to position the white without covering it. Drag a little for fine movement or farther for speed. Release to stop, then tap Place white ball. You can also tap clear cloth directly. Keep the ball away from other balls, cushions and pockets. Keyboard players can use arrows to position it and Space to confirm. The computer follows the same placement restrictions.

Clear your colour, then pot the 8-ball on a separate legal shot. An early 8-ball, or potting it on a foul, loses the game. An 8-ball potted on the break is returned to the table. These are Cacahead 8 Ball Pool house rules, with no called pockets.
